General Pulaski Terrace Modernization Project

 The Town of Southington has been awarded a $2,000,000 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the State of Connecticut’s 2025 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, with the Southington Housing Authority serving as the grant recipient.

This funding will provide major improvements at General Pulaski Terrace, a 40-unit affordable housing development. The modernization project includes:

  • New roofing
  • New gutters
  • New energy-efficient heat pump systems
  • New smoke and fire alarm system
  • New security camera system

 General Pulaski Terrace Modernization Project Update

The heating and air conditioning mini-split systems have now been fully replaced with new, energy-efficient LG units throughout the property.

The next phase of construction will include roof replacement and installation of new gutters.

Current Project Status

As of August 2026, the project remains in the construction phase. During this phase, contractors continue construction while the project team conducts regular inspections, provides project updates, and performs quality assurance reviews to ensure all work meets project specifications and applicable codes.
