FROM THE OFFICE

  • Friendly reminders:

~ Office hours are 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday

  • RSC hours are 9:00 AM – 2 PM Monday – Thursday

~ Please use Option 4 when submitting a work order and provide permission to enter your apartment if you are not home.

  • Work orders are completed based on priority and the order in which they are received.
  • If maintenance staff are unable to enter because no one is home or entry is denied, your work order may be delayed and placed at the end of the work order queue.

 MEDICARE INFORMATION

Medicare is approaching (10/15 – 12/7), and changes are expected.

  • United Health will sponsor a lunch & learn session to share information and answer Medicare questions. RSVP to Ext. 2 or email me at [email protected]. RSVP DUE DATE by August 7th.

  • Visit The CHOICES program provides free, objective, high-quality, and confidential information, counseling, and assistance to older adults and persons with disabilities, enabling them to understand and exercise their rights, access and receive benefits to which they are entitled, and make more informed decisions about life quality issues.

      *Information & Referral
      *Benefit Eligibility Screening
    • An excellent resource for individuals who are “New to Medicare”, for example, just turning 65 years old or eligible for Medicare because of a qualifying illness or disability. Trained CHOICES staff can help consumers navigate life’s stages while reducing the stress and confusion.

  • Main Street Foundation is conducting a community conversation about heath and healthcare needs of Southington residents. Looking for 12 residents to participate and must be able to come to Academy Community Room. A light lunch and $25.00 gift card will be given as thank you!   • Rental Rebate Program – Calendar House is accepting 2025 Income Documents until 9/25/26
    • If you have provided 2025 1099s as part of Annual Certification, then the office has these documents, and you only need to provide 2025 Eversource payment history.

  •  BINGO sponsored by Day Break – Wednesday, August 12th in Pleasant Street Community Room / Light snacks will be provided – Flyer Details
  • POTTERY AND LUNCH sponsored by Southington Community Services – SOCCA is sponsoring a special paint-your-own pottery experience. Residents will choose the pottery piece to design and paint. We look forward to seeing your creations! RSVP REQUIRED

  • Hartford Health Care Pop–Up Clinic– Every 4th Tuesday of the month at Bread for Life
    • Time: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM / Full health screening by a Physician Assistant
    • Order prescriptions / Testing / NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED

Senior Center Lunch Programs – Call to pre-order, and meals are served at 12:00 PM – Menu available online at Calendar House

  • Visit their calendar – Monthly Calendar for all activities
  • Bread of Life:

Hot meals are prepared and served at Bread for Life from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm Monday-Friday and at 5:30 pm on Wednesday. Inside dining and to-go options available. Take-home Saturday lunches are distributed on Fridays.
