Board of Commissioners

The Southington Housing Authority (SHA) is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Town of Southington. The Board provides policy guidance and oversight to ensure effective management of SHA properties and programs of SHA’s low-mid income, elderly and disabled portfolio. The Board works with the Executive director to facilitate the establishment of policies, budget approval, ensures compliance with federal and state housing regulations, and oversees the Executive Director, who manages daily operations. Additionally, the Board evaluates housing programs, advocates for community needs, and fosters partnerships to enhance services for residents. Committed to transparency and ethical governance, the Board plays a vital role in fulfilling SHA’s mission to provide safe, quality, and affordable housing in the community.
